20 yrs ago today my grandpa was in the hospital fighting for his life. As a WW 2 Vet he knew how to fight for sure. That day he lost his battle as the VA hospital had administered a drug (mistakenly) that stopped his heart. Later that same day was a very joyous occasion in an other hospital. My daughter Alex Smith was born!!! Im sure your great grandpa saw you honey as you have his very pretty eyes. I think on his way to heaven he gave them to you so we all would know he got to see you after all. Happy birthday baby girl. We are all so proud of you an the strong, smart, sensitive an caring woman you have become. Love, Your Dad.
