2004 (54) VW Bora 1.9 TDI PD 130 BHP. £1500. ** Quick sale needed due to buying a new car** Turbo replaced in August 2009 at 60,000 miles. 2 x genuine VW remote keys plus spare non coded key. Cam belt and water pump were replaced in February 2014 at 119,000 miles. Last full service February 2014, oil was changed, along with the oil, air and fuel pumps. December 2013 front and rear brake discs and pads were replaced with genuine VW parts. We have owned the car since March 2009 at which point mileage was 55,000. Mileage now is 131,000. No expense has been spared in maintaining this completely original car which has proved to be reliable and a pleasure to own and drive. The reason for selling is that we have outgrown the car and have bought a bigger car. Features VW’s ‘climatic’ climate control, Dash mounted 6 disc cd changer, 6 speed gear box, Leather steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake, Self-dimming rear view mirror, Armrest and the ‘blue’ back lit dials and facia, 4 x electric windows, electric heated mirrors, Rear head rests, and courtesy lights in the doors. All electrical items work without any issues. The car is very economical, averaging 45mpg around town and between 55-65mpg on a long journey. It is also extremely quick as well and the mid-range punch from the engine is blistering. The mileage is consistent for the year and these engines will easily cover 300,000 miles if looked after. The price I am asking for the car is reflective of the fact that the bearing on the 5th gear is starting to wear. It is perfectly fine at the moment and not an imminent issue. The clutch is also potentially in need of replacement in the future but again this is not imminent. These are not the reasons for selling the car. I would happily pay for them to be fixed but we needed a bigger car so it seemed silly to do this. I am happy the car will sail through its MOT. I should be advertising this condition car with this mileage for £2800 so if you are happy with the issues you will get a bargain.
