2014 Buchanan City Leaf Collection~ Leaf collection started Monday, October 27th. Where are we? By day 10 in our leaf collection process (Friday, November 7), we will have completed our first round of leaf pick up. Every road in our City should have seen the first round of leaf collection. We have already removed 3,715 yards of leaves and we anticipate that many more. That number relates to an area just over 10’ x 100’ x 100’ of densely packed leaves. Our objective is to remove all curb side leaf piles as quickly as possible and continue to maintain a high level of service with all our other responsibilities. Leaf Schedule~ This is extremely difficult to predict, however, I can give you our line-up, and what areas we will be heading in next. We will begin Tuesday, November 11th on Ottawa and work our way down the list below. Please be mindful that emergencies come up that occupy our normal work day. I assure you that we haven’t forgotten the importance of your needs, as we too are citizens in our great community. I also ask that you share this information with your neighbors so everyone can be informed. 1) Ottawa, Miller, McCumber, Chippewa, Cayuga, Detroit, Lake, N. Oak, Main, Harlan, Remus, 5th, 4th, 3rd, Short, Dewey Street & W. Front Street. 2) Liberty Heights area, including S. Redbud and Rynearson. 3) Days, S. Oak, Jordon, Berrien, W. Smith, Alexander, Roe, Charles Ct, Clark, Phelps, S. Detroit, Maple, Whitman, S. Cayuga and Terre Couple. 4) Polis, Roe, Glazier, Willow, Hillview, Hill and Post Rd. 5) N.
