Our main concern is how our dog, Archimedes, tended to go into the "red" while being walked on a leash. Arc learned his lesson on the very first walk. After a month of use with the occasional lapse in self-control, our dog now walks with self-discipline without the need for the collar. The combination of a "no pull" leash and the SportDog No Bark collar ends the nonsense once and for all.My only complaint is that my dog ended up a shock when a snowmobile went by, which has left him with a fear of the machines. Its easy to charge, and you basically just have to show it to your dog and hell get with the program.We have gone through several different types of collars over the last few years as well as one of those units that sits outside and creates a noise that only the dog can hear if it barks (worthless!). We had limited success with the other units but this one is a rock star - it took only one day and for three weeks now we have a completely silent dog! Our neighbors will be so happy,,, and so are we! Great unit.I have a welsh springer and two english springers. Bought this for one of them. It stopped her barking all right, the trouble is it shocks her when the other dog barks as well - so she is punished for something she did not do. The fit is correct - the setting is on the program that actually goes back to the lowest level when there is an interval with no barking. Ive seen it on 3 different occasions. Next time Ill go with Tritronics, maybe theirs works better - but if you have more than one dog beware this collar. It would work well alone, with no other dogs who bark.
