2014 has been a year of learning, growth, struggles, making mistakes, humility, and the loss of my precious Papaw. Im kinda glad its over. Its been a year of finding strength and courage to shrug off some baggage and other stuff and learning to stand and walk and be. And I made plenty of mistakes along the way. I needed to learn some things and I needed to recognize some things that have held me in a type of prison, and I made A LOT of mistakes along the way. It was through these mistakes I recognize some of my vulnerabilities 1) putting too much emphasis on what others think and 2) a big one being not giving myself the same grace I easily give to others. There are others but these stand out right now. A friend of mine gave me these words a few days ago in reference to some things from 2014; I believe they are words we all should live by as we embark on a new year: We are on a journey. We make some mistakes...we accomplish some victories...I fail daily and I have to remind myself to come to the throne....ask for forgiveness and allow him to work through me. Just dont forget you are not your mistakes or your hurts. Dont be colored by these things. 😊. Walk in His redemption. If I come to the end of 2015 a year from now and can say I lived these words this year it will be a great summation of another year of the journey :) Be blessed and walk in love, grace and mercy in 2015 every one!!
