210 million acres are used to raise soy, corn and wheat. 75% of these crops are used to feed the animals we eat. The animals themselves uses over 600 million acres of grazing land of which 20-30% had been over grazed and ruined. Many parts of the country are in serious drought right now. Peoe are being told to use less water, but by far the leading consumer of our water is agricultural. Cows also produce over 18% of CO2 which does not include all the forests that are being destroyed to make more land for grazing. The agribusiness creates huge amounts of waste which poisons the land and our seas. The saddest thing is we are extinguishing species of animals and plants to make room for more grazing animals. We only really eat 12 of many hundreds of types of vegetables and fruits. We have lost our biodiversity. Our kids can look forward to a world that stinks, is hot, has no beautiful forests, some exotic animals but only in zoos, and a hot, lifeless, acidic ocean. Diseases will abound. This is so sad and is happening so fast.
