22 November 2014 - United Nations General Assembly - STEM Africa: Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Dr Bongi Ngema-Zuma, President Jakaya Kikwete, Savannah Maziya - Chairperson of Bunengi Foundation, Mrs Penehefo Pohamba - First Lady of Namibia. Dr Bongi Ngema-Zuma was announced as the Patron of STEM Africa (Science Technology Engineering & Maths) focussing on girls. Dr Nkosazana Dkamini-Zuma, President Kikwete of Tanzania and Ms Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka - UN Executive Director for Women were speakers and pledged their support for the STEM Education initiative which forms part of STEM global. Bunengi (women owned Engineering company) Foundation initiated STEM Africa.
