$240 later... my favorite cat has something along these lines which is being treated by 2 injections of antibiotics & steroids: lymphocytic-plasmacytic gingivitis-stomatitis-pharyngitis (GSPC). I may be completely wrong on the name. Ill call back tomorrow to try to find out. Unfortunately what he has cannot be cured, but we can treat the symptoms & it is not contagious. There are a number of signs which will suggest that a cat has a disorder of the mouth, these include: Inappetence - the cat may show no interest in food, or may come to the food bowl and then be reluctant to eat Dysphagia - this refers to difficulty or discomfort in eating and swallowing - the cat may eat with obvious caution, may show discomfort, may drop food from its mouth, or may swallow with great difficulty. Ptyalism - this refers to excessive salivation or drooling from the mouth (sometimes bleeding may be present) Halitosis - this refers to an unpleasant odour to the breath Clawing or pawing at the mouth, and sometimes head shaking Weight loss may occur with inappetence He has 2 very red sores behind his uppper far back teeth. Hes had most of these symptoms, although I dont get close enough to smell his breath. This may not be the exact name of what it is, but I cant pronounce nor remember the EXACT scientific name of what she said he had. If I had written it down it would have taken me a half an hour. lol
