25 Oct, 2014 - In memory of that music. My friend Patrizia Sorgiovanni went to the recording of the Graham Norton show this week, and I happened to be looking for a film last night, when the show came on. So, I decided to watch the show instead. Yes, it did have the famous Benedict aka Sherlock Holmes and, also... Maroon 5. And I thought, wow, what a musical memory. The last time I listened to Maroon 5 was in a soft top American car cruising down the express roads, in and out of Walt Disney World, with the young boy by my side. His job was to get the roof back on each time we stopped, and he had worked that one out to a T, and could perform it, in a squidgy. And we listened to Maroon 5, in and out. He was only 8. It was 10 years ago. I had done so much work for Walt Disney World by then - and their NDAs lose effect after 7 years so, I guess, I may be safe to even spell their name here - that I really had to take him to experience the world of Mickey that had already become so much part of his home life, in so many ways. And we had so much fun. Those memories. And today, its the music of Maroon 5 that lingers the most, maybe in softer ways than the swimming with the dolphins or the giraffes outside our bedroom window in Animal Kingdom. Yeah, nothing beats the memory of Maroon 5, when riding in a soft car in the Florida sun, with the young boys hand sitting lightly on the command board between us. To this day. In memory of that music.
