28th August 2014 Police charged with five counts of rape face court DEFENCE lawyers for the two police officers charged with five counts of rape and one count each of assault with intent to commit rape and deprivation of liberty will make an application to cross examine six witnesses. The two junior officers, one of whom resigned from the Queensland Police Service, first appeared in court on February 7 this year. They cannot be named for legal reasons.
