29th state of INDIA =============== === Telangana ― 29th state in India =============== ===== Telangana is now the confirmed 29th state in India. Hyderabad will remain the common capital fortwo states for a period of 10 years. The Telangana state would comprise of 10 districts: Hyderabad, Adilabad, Khammam, Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Rangareddy, and Warangal. Hyderabad and Warangal are two largest cities in Telangana region. Telangana was merged with Andhra state to form Andhra Pradesh state in 1956. Since then, there were several agitations in Telangana to invalidate the merger and to form Telangana state. On December 9, 2009, the Government of India announced the process of formation of the Telangana state. Due to violent protests raised in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions immediately after the announcement, and due to the agitation in those regions for 14 days, the decision to form the new state was put on hold on December 23, 2009. Today, on July 30, 2013, Congress Working Committee(CWC) passed a resolution that Telangana will be a new state of Republic of India.
