4.5 year old Ben needs a family ASAP and needs his adoption to be medically expedited! Ben is waiting for a family in China and is on the shared list. He is from an orphanage Madison partners with. His special needs are listed as polydactyly of right hand; hemiplegia of right limbs. An update has arrived and its not looking good. Updated measurements: 1. height 106CM Weight14.8KG chest 52CM head 48.5CM teeth 20 foot 17CM Ben can walk. He can say some simple language like baba,mama,ayi. He can communicate with people by simple language and express his needs. He speaks clearly. He feeds himself with a spoon. He likes playing puzzles and blocks with foster parents. He likes toy cars. He will be sad if other kids grabs his toys or something he likes or if they do not play with him. He is happy and extroverted. He likes music and TV. He likes picture books and drawing. He does not draw very well.He sleeps well but does not like taking nap. He is very social. He is close to foster parents, his teacher, and the orphanage director. His heart is good. He cannot tell colors yet. He knows different parts of the body. He is a good eater and is not picky. In this season, he gets seizures quite often, 2-3 minutes each time and then he goes back to normal. A mom with a child with this need is happy to be a resource and is open to have her sons neuro team take a look at the file and write a medical expedite letter, if needed. She said: Typically with hemiplegia children that are having seizures, the neuro team will do a brain resection or a hemispherectomy if the seizures continue to get worse and if the child continues to have them. The hemiplegia is CAUSED by the seizures or by a previous stroke. So the fact that he has hemiplegia and is having strokes makes me say that he needs to be adopted NOW and expedited ASAP. Based on the fact that he is having seizures and also has right side hemiplegia, I would definitely say that his seizures are being caused by something more. He needs to be medically expedited.
