Thank you to everyone who helped make the Fair successful for the youth of Chemung County. We could not do it without the help of volunteers, parents, youth and community members. FAIR: State Fair If you informed us you were interested at Fair to going to State Fair - please email the office - I may have forgotten...... STATE FAIR TEEN LEADERS NEEDED!!!! Help is needed in both the Chemung County Booth and as a Teen Leader in the Youth Building. Are you 13 (4-H age) and wanting to go to the State Fair and work? The Youth Building is open from 10 - 6. Then the teens can see the Fair with the chaperones. Teens are need all three rotations and Chemung County will be up there August 20th (for set-up) through August 24th. If you cant come up the whole time, contact the office. The state can use teens helping judges in the Teen Evaluator positions throughout the whole fair, but particularly in the 3rd time period… Contact the office if you are interested. Attention Alumni or Friends of 4-H in Chemung County or enrolled 4-H families. TRAMS – We are still looking for help with TRAMS at State Fair. Get a free parking pass and entrance to the Fair and work 1 -2 hours on TRAMS. What is the job duty for TRAMS? We collect tickets from people who ride the trams and announce the stops. We are looking for teens 13 and over or a parent and youth 9-12 to ride the tram with the state fair worker. The more people we have volunteer, the less time each person has to work. E-mail or call Bernadette or Elaine with questions. Our date to operate is September 1. We provide free daily passes and parking passes. Shifts could be as easy as one time around the state fairgrounds or ~1 ½ hours – sign up now. CLINICS: ********If you attend a clinic that is non-sponsored by the office – you must inform the office that you attended – provide the information about the clinic.
