48 hours and I still go to make sure Sheba has water to drink or until I get to the door she is in my thoughts and then reality grabs me. It is no fun to lay on a cot I made for myself so we could rest on the porch. Life is constant change and this too will pass to fond memories. She was either at my feet as I worked at my computer or on the porch near me and we both had our moods of wanting to be alone. Although she had not met me at the fence gate for several weeks or more, irt was always nice to have her welcome me home before I would get in the drive. If i was in the house and she wanted my attention she would come to the door and bark and if I did not go to the door she would go to the front to see if my truck was in the carport and back to the door and she would not stop until I let her in. It is going to take some time to get use to being all alone but it will happen.
