This book takes you on a riveting journey of an addict and his addicted enabling mother, a recovering addict (Lyndsey from Jagged Little Edges) and the addicts girlfriend. What is fascinating about this read is how intertwined these characters are and how the addict affects each of them. I could visually picture each character and Rozzano is able to very accurately portray how addiction affects family and loved ones. Therapy, treatment, counseling, Al-Anon, recovery and self realization are introduced and the reader will understand exactly why these resources are so essential for the addict, family and loved ones. Even though the book was extremely resourceful and you could identify with the characters, it was, at times, painful to read which is again, a very accurate portrayal of this rampant disease and its devastating impact.
