#5. Halloween: The Life and Crimes of Michael Myers(2009). Do I need to explain myself here? Its Halloween. One of the most famous Horror Films of all time. This maze was easily the best of 2009. The set design and lighting were fantastic. I love how they pulled off the illusion that the only source of light most of the time was coming from the Moonlight peering through the windows. The soundtrack was fantastic in this maze with lots of the audio files ripped from the film. I loved that it was so dark and then all you heard was Michaels faint breathing before he came out to scare you. But what really put this maze on top was all the small effects and details that served as nods to the rest of the films. Lots of cool design choices like having the light and shadows projected through the back of the top floor windows inside the facade which really gave you the feeling that there was people inside. The ominous faint moonlight type lighting was fantastic and really kept things unsettling. The Television playing the original 1954 The Thing before cutting to a Silver Shamrock Commercial. Having the 3 halloween costumes from Season of the Witch cameo in the house as Trick or Treaters pranking the Myers house. It was all there and Im so glad Orlando finally gets to experience Halloween as well. Hopefully we will see it return someday in Hollywood... with a bigger budget Im sure Murdy and Chris Williams can do wonders.
