51 Tibetan students including 25 girl students are detained by Gujarat police since yesterday in response to their application for peaceful protest against the violation of human rights by China. Many were detained from the university campus or their hostel. They are on hunger strike against this forceful detention. While the state government, led by Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, is rolling out the red carpet for President Xi Jinping and the Chinese delegation traveling with him. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be served dinner in a dome on the Sabarmati riverfront.
