725 booths set up for Polio Immunization on Jan 18th in Kupwara: KUPWARA, JANUARY 01: Over 1.3 lakh infants upto age of 05 years would be administered Polio vaccine in Kupwara district on January 18th. The information was given in a meeting chaired by Dy.Commissioner, Kupwara to review the arrangements being put in place for administering Pulse Polio Immunization in district Kupwara. The Chief Medical Officer, Kupwara informed that 725 Immunization booths have been established for which 1259 Health Workers, 883 ASHA’s, 737 Anganwari Workers, 81 NGO’s, besides 161 Supervisors have been deployed. Advance health teams are being despatched to Machil, Keran, Jumagunas, Budnambal and border areas and the Immunization would be continued upto January 20th. The necessary training to the staff has been already imparted at various places in the district in this regard.
