#761 confession -Each rules amended or devised should have an approval from the Executive Academic Board, NMIMS University. The amendments that were posted earlier were approved by Board of Studies, MPSTME not by Executive Academic Board, NMIMS University. Some points that were suggested by BOS were duly rejected by EAC. In the meeting held on 31/05/2013, the members of EAS and BOS finalized the academic, administrative and examination pattern for the Semester System of Examination. Some of the points finalized: 1) That the system of re-examination to be continued but instead to be scheduled to 3rd/4th week of July. 2) That the system of Internal Improvement Test to be continued. 3) That the institutional timing to be kept till 1:00 pm, to accommodate 2nd shift students. 4) That the students of MBA(tech.) programmes to be shifted to another building and after 2 years to the NMIMS, University. 5) To apply for AICTE,UGC approval of all programmes and NBA-AICTE for accreditation of all programmes. 6) To apply for ISO 9001:2008 certification. 7) To apply for SAQS accreditation. 8) To apply for ABET accreditation. 9) To increase procurement of books of Foreign origin. The criteria for attendance remains undecided as the suggestion for 60% attendance suggested by BOS was rejected by EAC,NMIMS University and would be decided in further meetings to be held.
