8/25/13 Well, let’s make this short and sweet… We’re having Frogmore Stew! (or Lowcountry boil, Beaufort Stew, or Beaufort boil, or tidewater boil). Call it what you like, just get here and get your share! This dish is sooooo good with all the flavors of tender shrimp, spicy sausage married with red potatoes, the sweet juice of corn on the cob, and just the right amount of seasonings - BAM!!! Also on the menu: Wonderful fresh baby spinach salad with red ripe strawberries, pine nuts, crumbled Feta cheese, and topped with a creamy poppy seed dressing. Our fresh fruit selection today is plump, bursting with flavor blueberries and juicy grapes. We also added a pitcher of yummy vanilla yogurt to drizzle on top. All this along with our every Sunday, home-cooked delights: fluffy scramble eggs, crisp bacon, sausage gravy, buttermilk biscuits, creamy southern grits, quiche, French toast casserole, and our bite size desserts. All you can eat - $14.95. Our drink menu will surprise you - teas, coffee, soft drinks, juices, hot chocolate, and more… And FYI - Frogmore is the name of a community in the middle of St. Helena Island, near Beaufort, South Carolina. The name Frogmore Stew was coined in the 1960s by Richard Gay, one of the owners of Gay Fish Company, circa 1948, on St. Helena Island.
