9-8-14 If you are saved, this will help you with what is going on in the world today and if you are lost, this will probably not make much since to you at all. Bit by bit, Satan has chipped away at the fabric of life in our country so that things that were once clearly wrong are now accepted, and the things that once were respected are mocked. Today, the authority of the Bible is being challenged on every side. What has been labeled as the new morality is commonly accepted in our world, although this is merely the old sins that the Bible has condemned from the beginning. Discarding the moral standards that have served our society well will have a detrimental effect on our lives. If we lose our moral compass, we will never be able to determine the proper path for our lives. This is a serious matter, and every child of God should realize the intensity of this attack on our faith. This is not merely a matter of individual choice. It is one thing for an individual to decide he/she wants to live outside the moral code of his/her world; it is the entirely different for any individual to change the moral code to suit his/her own prejudices. Those who seek to redefine marriage to meet a non-biblical definition, or those who seek to eliminate any reference to God from public life, are imposing their humanistic and frankly, selfish, moral views on their world. Some Christians may denounce these attitudes and many others may like them, but just as David of old so eloquently asked, What can the righteous do when these things begin to happen? The answer is clearly given; WE GET BACK TO THE BASICS OF OUR FAITH!! If you get a chance today, read Psalm 11. God Bless You
