9 year old KIDDO a/k/a KILO a/k/a MILO is sitting in a crate at Brooklyn ACC wondering why he’s back there. First surrendered in 9/2012 because of his owner’s housing issues, Milo (as he was known then) quickly got adopted by someone who clearly saw what a sweetheart he was. But fast forward 10 months and they too are moving to someplace where Kiddo (as he seems to be called now) is once again brought to Brooklyn ACC. And through it all, Kiddo remains the mellow, super senior dog that he is. Earning a Green rating during his medical, he allowed himself to go through an intrusive medical exam and loved the petting part! Now ACC has decided that Kiddo doesn’t deserve any more time with them and they’ve put him on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Surely Kiddo can find somebody who is a keeper. Surely this sweet dog can find somebody who knows what a joy an older, mellow, experienced dog is to have around. Surely Kiddo is worth another chance at the life he so deserves. Can you give Kiddo that chance? He’s tried so hard not to be disappointed; he’s tried so hard to be a good boy; he’s tried so hard to live. If you’re that someone who understands Kiddo then speak up to foster or adopt him. Show him that he’s not a “throwaway”; show him that he’s worthy. But do it right now-tomorrow Kiddo will just be another “adoption failure”. Tomorrow he will just be a vague memory….
