A 10 year old girl named Savannah brought tears to the eyes of Fort Worth Police Officers tonight as she stopped by to sincerely thank them for their service. The killing of two NYPD Officers inspired her to show tremendous support for officers across the nation. Savannah spent her Christmas break writing hundreds of thank you cards to police in New York and across Texas. She has delivered many in person all across Texas. Her message is simple and straight from the heart. You’re my heroes. I want to say, don’t stop, please don’t give up. Many do not care or appreciate the sacrifices that you make every day, but I do. Many are standing with me today to let you know that you matter. Officers across Texas, you matter to me. Officers in New York City, you matter to me. Officers all across America, you matter to me. Please keep taking care of us. Savannah even asked the officers for autographs before she left. We sincerely thank Savannah and her family for their support of officers across the nation. America needs more citizens like Savannah!
