A 32-year-old woman was killed and two men were moderately injured when a bakkie and mini-truck collided on the R547 in Witbank just after 19:00 last night. ER24 paramedics found the womans body lying on the roadway near the bakkie. She succumbed to the severe head injuries she sustained in the collision. The driver (33) of the bakkie sustained moderate injuries as did the driver of the mini truck. At 02:10 this morning, a 46-year-old man was found dead along Polla Road in Witbank. ER24 paramedics were called to the scene by bystanders who saw the damaged vehicle stationed along their route. The man was lying in a supine position in the sandy roadside several meters from the vehicle. This was only vehicle found on scene. It is not clear how the collision occurred however evidence on scene suggests that the man lost control of the vehicle causing it to eject him as it overturned multiple times.
