COME SHARE IN THEIR STORIES AT ROSSFORD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH AT 10 a.m on SUNDAY, JULY 21 You are invited to share in the rich experiences of Dan and Elaine Johnson who spent three years teaching and learning as the lived among the people of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Jesus expects his disciples to share their lives and experiences with the whole world. John Wesley believed “the world is my parish.” Dan, President Emeritus of the University of Toledo and Distinguished University Professor of Public Policy and Economic Development, will be sharing his view of The Culture of Dubai: Our Experiences and Observations and Elaine will be talking about Dubai: A Rich Spiritual Experience as a Christian. In 2008, Dr. Johnson was invited to the United Arab Emirates to become Provost and Chief Operating Officer of Zayed University (ZU) with campuses in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. During his tenure as Provost at ZU, he worked closely with the Minister of Higher Education and Research in building a new, world-class campus in Abu Dhabi, developed cooperative relationships with several universities in UAE and numerous countries, fostered the research agenda of the university and prepared it for re-accreditation. Elaine participated in and discovered the richness of the spiritual and worship life of the people as she shared her life with the people.
