A Letter From MARCUS BIESCHKE Hey, friends! I have a recurring bad dream. I’m in a stadium event with probably 100,000 people, and to my surprise, I am being introduced to speak. The only problem is, as I slowly walk up to the podium and see the 200,000 eyes staring back at me, I am not prepared. I have no idea what to say. That’s usually the moment I wake up screaming for my mommy. Being unprepared in life is no fun. Being unprepared for God is even worse. This Christmas, we have a chance to be prepared for His coming afresh into our hearts and lives. That’s why, this weekend, Steve Carter will be with us LIVE to share a message that will help us get prepared for all that God wants to do in and through us this season. Invite a friend, and then come early to get a great seat and prepare your heart for worship! And let me remind you again of our Year-End Fund called ONE—where we’re increasing our impact one life at a time. One great way to prepare our hearts for Christ’s arrival is by bucking the cultural emphasis on being “getters” and building into our Kingdom identity as being “givers” like our Heavenly Father. This year, we have a chance to catalyze transformation by giving scholarships to unchurched students to attend one of our life-changing camp experiences, by sending teams of families to impact under-resourced communities in El Salvador, and by caring for and assisting people in our own community who hit unexpected crises such as unemployment.
