A MUST READ BY THE TRUE BELIEVERS :HOW TO EVANGELIZE THE LOST SOULS IN THESE LAST DAYS TO FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISSIONS BEFORE THE RAPTURE WILL TAKE PLACE Some people find it very hard to share their faith and experiences. Even if you are nervous, you just have to have the courage to. Courage is not the absence of fear but is doing what is right even when you are feeling uncomfortable about doing it. A.7 NECCESSARY STEPS TO START DOING EVANGELIZATION : 1.Pray before you evangelize. Remember out there is a world of lost people and many who have never heard the Gospel. Ask the Lord for guidance and re-read key verses about the Gospel so that you may preach it truthfully: Isaiah 66:8, When Israel began to travail, then she gave birth to her children. That is labor, not easy. I Timothy 2:1,4, Pray for all men... It is not the will of God that any perish but that all might be saved. Do possibility thinking; negativism is not productive. 2.Dont rush directly into the topic of witnessing when you are with someone. Start with some small talk and ask about what has been going on in his or her life lately. Dont expect that anyone would immediately trust you. It will take a while before someone opens up to you. The Billy Graham Association said that 90% of converts remain in a church when they find a friend there. So if you are in college or school, you can do this experiment: sit with someone in the cafeteria for 3 days and make a friend first, then witness on the third day. The results may be startling for you, the student may pour his/her heart out to you, even for hours, with questions about the Bible. As a result some having this experience have opened different Bible studies to accommodate friends schedules. 3.Pay attention to what they say. It wouldnt be kind of you to think of the person youre witnessing to as just another evangelism opportunity; people like being listened to, show that you truly care for his or her salvation (because you should care!). Be ready to give an account of the hope that you have. A most effective evangelistic tool that you can use is a survey. You can ask four questions about an individuals life, and after you know the needs and beliefs, witness to each based on the point of view. Avoid pressing the persons that are totally closed to you, but persist with the ones that are open, who will let you witness because they spoke 4 times while you listened, and it would be bad manners to not let you speak for about that many times and go from there, if there is an interest. You can ask almost any questions but make the fourth question, If you were to die today, why do you think that you will go to heaven? They usually stumble on this question, so its good to read them John 3:16, and ask to pray the sinner prayer with them. 4.Talk about the Ten Commandments. You can begin with either Gods Holiness in comparison to our unrighteousness (important to emphasize our there), or you can begin by going through the Ten Commandments with the person. Remember Law to the Proud and Grace to the Humble. People generally think theyre good; through Scripture, we know that there is none perfect but God. Ask them if theyve ever lied, looked with lust, stolen something, etc.. After youve shown them through the law, which is perfect for converting the soul (Psalm 19:7), that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, proceed to give them the good news! The true Gospel is how God loved us so much that He sent His only son to die for us and take our place on the cross. Be sure to tell them that they must repent (change their belief) and place all their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. ABCs of becoming a Christian: A (Admit you are a sinner) B (Believe Jesus is the only begotten son of THE living God and that He died for your sins) C (Confess Him to be your Lord & Savior).... But without repentance of our sins, we are not placing our complete trust in Him for the remission of our sins. 5.See if the person is receptive and pray with them. Finally, if the person seems receptive to the Gospel or actually sees his or her need for a savior and repents and puts their faith in Christ, there in this wonderful witnessing encounter, proceed to tell him or her the changes that should occur in his/her life (being a new person in Christ Jesus and how the sin that we once loved we begin to hate, as sin is against Gods law and against the least of our brothers and sisters). A great resource for this is to go through 1 John with the person. What was from the beginning... what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.[1] James 5:20, Remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins. 6.Talk about your testimony to encourage the person, and tell about your testimony, and how God has changed your life (in faith, hope, your joy of salvation and loving the lost world, not just the saved). B. SEVERAL TIPS 1.Do not interrupt the other person while he or she is giving his/her point of view. It doesnt matter how misguided the other person is. Interrupting another person is still being rude. 2.Do not preach Hell, Fire & Brimstone immediately nor over-simplified version of the prosperity message, just preach the basics of the good news of the Gospel first: how Jesus came from Heaven and bore all the punishments that we deserve (not deserved (past tense), but still deserve (present tense)). Explain to them that He died on the cross that you and I might live. He physically (in His body) arose from the grave on the third day and now sits at the right hand of the Father. Show them how the law (the 10 commandments) is like a mirror exposing all the sins that we have committed against God. Show them how through the law we are all condemned to eternal separation from God but through the Lord Jesus Christ paying our price by His substitutionary suffering, including His dying on the cross, we can have eternal fellowship with the Father and dwell in the house of the Lord forever. 3.If in the end the person does not humble themselves before the Lord then just tell them that youll pray for them, give them a few tracts and a bible even if its within possibilities. And be always friendly. 4.We do not convert people, all we are called to do is to Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and pray for that person. It is the Holy Spirit who regenerates us. 5.If the person you are trying to convert does not wish to be converted, leave him/her alone and talk to someone who is receptive of your speech. 6.Remember the new convert will not be spiritually mature right away! give the person time to grow and if possible disciple the person. Do not put on him/her demands she/he will not be able to meet before she/he grows in the grace of God to (super)naturally overcome the wrong habits. C. SEVERAL WARNINGS 7.Some countries may put you in jail for doing this. And if they want to put you in jail for doing what every Christian is supposed to be doing (though not every Christian does), then by all means, preach the Gospel in jail! Use your legal protection (e.g. your citizenship, that countrys constitutional freedom of religion - if it does exist there, etc.) 8.Proclaim the Truth of the Gospel without respect for persons or favoritism. Do not use opinions and non-biblical doctrines and traditions when trying to explain the Gospel of Christ to unbelievers or members of another religion/denomination. One of the last places where a person should rely on such extraneous ideals is when he/she is preaching the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ. 9.Do not deliver a false-hope Gospel. Deliver the true Gospel, the Gospel of the Good News. Anyone who says that when you become a Christian your life will be always wonderful and perfect has never correctly read the New Testament. 10.If a person is already a member of another faith and you know that before you start evangelizing, try to be tactful in the way you approach them, keeping what they believe in mind. If they seem like they arent listening, dont be overly forceful. 11.Evangelize/preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the right reasons. If they are social or material, you are no better than a salesman. The Lord is always reaching out to the unbelievers, but you can still get in his way if you are a hypocrite.
