A NEW ATTITUDE TOWARDS SELF-WORTH. Pt. 1 Are you struggling with feelings of low self-worth? In your heart of hearts, do you believe you have little value-especially when compared to other people? Maybe regardless of how good you may look, how much youve accomplished, or how much you have going for you, you still feel insignificant. Maybe youve never heard someone say, I love you, or never heard someone say, Great job! Perhaps you are the target of continual verbal and emotional abuse, and it has wounded your spirit. The put-downs have pierced your heart because they came from the dearest person in your life. It has left you humiliated and hurt. You are emotionally paralyzed. You feel like a non-person..... Invisible and insignificant. Its time that you get a true understanding of what God says about you, and its vital for you to know that its true! According to the word of God: a. God chose to create you, and as the old saying goes,The Lord dont make no junk! God created man in his own image. Gen. 1:27 b. God has a plan for your life, and He took time to plan it. I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jer. 29:11 c. God loves you, and he will never stop loving you! I have loved you with an ever lasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness. Jer. 31:3 Knowing just these three truths will help you immeasurably. Even if you periodically have difficulty feeling Gods love, you can know He loves you. Even if you sometimes struggle with feeling insignificant, you can know you have worth. Youre so significant that Jesus chose to die for you. Think about it: you dont die for something that has no worth! A major factor in overcoming your struggle with self -worth Will be changing your focus from the rejection of people here on earth to the love of your Heavenly Father, changing your focus from painful family life to the reality that youre in the family of God, changing your focus from demoralizing personal failures to the fact that Jesus is your personal Redeemer! If youve been having a hard time seeing your God-given value, if youve been wondering about your God-given worth, join me in the days to come and you learn what is true about you, according to the word of God. As you read and meditate, I pray that Gods love will transform every false view you have until youre able to see yourself just as God sees you: His precious child of infinite worth! Be encouraged!
