A Poem by Liu Shen Hsu of the Tang Dynasty. The road’s end lies in the white clouds It is spring for the whole length of the mountain stream; The water borne towards me is full of fallen flowers As I follow the stream it is fragrant all the way. A quiet doorway faces the mountain path Where a study lies deep in the shade of the willows; Wherever you look the sunshine is netted with shadow, The brilliant contrast flecks my clothes.
