A Reflection of 20 Years: Looking back on twenty years I wonder how we did it? How we endured?? I think its Suppertimes heart that kept us going. What is that heart?? Its Katie who started working here is high school, who now runs the kitchen. Her Daughter Brie who spent the first three years of her life at Suppertime and now 16 years later can occasionally be found working up front. Katies other two, Connor and Claire helping to unload the Costco run. Its Denny our first Chef who at the age of 18 took on the new venture of Suppertime. Its Aunt Pats cakes(how does she make them so tasty) and her friendly smile. Its Jos sharp business sense and delicious minestrone. Its my Grandparents, their recipes and support. Its the family members who we enjoyed working with, this allowed us to spend lots of time with them: Brian, Shannon, Mike, John(Bartdude), Ken, Rob, Aileen, Kristin and Sarah. Its Patrick coming by to visit us and following us around as we worked, talking our ear off. I still think he does it to this day, just in a little quieter way. Its the support of the family. It Aunt Michele and Uncle Tom, who where always there to help us (up late tiling Solano or scrubbing equipment, just to name a few.) Its Megan, Coleen, Danielle, and Jasons constant faith in us by always thinking of us for catering needs. Its Aunt Denise running to Costco for us for a forgotten item. Its Rob who Its Rob who frequented us until he found his wife, its okay, Amy doesnt cook a lot so they still eat with us often. Its Gary, Don, Silvia, Margie, Cindy and Bill who we all know by name (and order) and have been eating with us for years. Its the Howell family whose daughter is now off to college but grew up on Suppertime fettuccine. Its Jessica who as a young child would get mad if her parents would not get Lasagna on that one day a month we would have it, then grew up to work for us. Its the couple dozen kids that had their first job at suppertime: Vanessa, Victor, Joey, Bailey, Jason, Jaime, Tracy, Faith, Greg, Cristian, Shayla and many more. Its the good workers that helped us out: Brian Bash, Theresa, Joe, Lucia, Lucas, Stephanie, Chris, Jenni, Kola, and Martha. Its Sheila who took a chance on us and hired us at Uptown. Its all the Musicians we feel privileged to say we got to feed at uptown. Who all seem to really enjoy it as a break from the junk they eat on the road. Its the friends we made at Uptown. Rob, Cole, Cynthia, Margie, DK, Mindi, Tim, Al and many more. Its Linda Button-Jones who had so much faith in us she led us to meals on wheels and the whole CANV team. Its our St. As Family. Its the nearly million meals we have prepared, the new recipes we have tried, the three homes we have had. Its the hundreds of customers that have come through our doors, the wonderful people we have had the opportunity to know. Its home to us and has become home to so many. That is what makes it so special. These are the things we celebrate as we turn 20. We have been so blessed.
