A Small Tribute to a Talented Educator: Maureen Edwards I received some very sad news on Sunday. That morning the Adelaide early childhood community lost a dedicated and talented educator when Maureen Edwards lost her fight with cancer. I had the honour and pleasure of working with Maureen through a professional learning project about Playful Learning at her school, and Maureen was a regular at many of the workshops and Twilights we have held over the past two or three years. I remember seeing her at the last one only a few months ago. Im sharing just a couple of photographs of the beautiful learning spaces that Maureen created for her children. They were aesthetically beautiful but more importantly, filled with lively, engaged and meaningful learning. Lots of play, conversation and joy! Maureen truly believed in the importance of an authentic childhood and gave this gift to many children she worked with. I know there will be many family, friends, colleagues and children grieving this week - I will be thinking of you. It was an honour to have known Maureen. Rest in Peace.
