A Waterford Senator says government proposals on collective bargaining would amount to Yellow Pack legislation Sinn Feins David Cullinane says the proposed new laws fall short of whats needed because they dont require employers to recognise trade unions. Referring to the hundreds of job losses at Talk Talk in 2011, Senator Cullinane said when companies are not obliged to negotiate with unions it denies workers basic rightsHe is calling for a debate on the issue.In response Seanad Leader, Waterfords Maurice Cummins says he also feels the Talk Talk situation was very badly handled and says hed be open to a Seanad debate on the legislation.
