A bane of Kerala and its colleges are those cohorts of resourceful young citizens unifying behind various flags and wasting their primes. The far more ludicrous thing is them picking up issues which sparsely affects them and making much ado about it. For instance, there were a number of student wings of major political parties protesting at the Secretariat gates seeking George W.Bush(who was on a diplomatic visit to India) to return, politically motivated propaganda like the Save Gaza campaign when none of these self-proclaimed revolutionary organisations are scantly bothered by the humanitarian crises in their very own state by the likes of Attapadi tribal communities, rehabilitation of Endosulfan afflicted people, etc. Does Che Guevera(late) , Hugo Chavez(late), Fiedel Castro and Malala Yousafzi even know that the public property of India is being sabotaged, lives of many innocent people are put on stake, and classes are intruded in their name? What can these aforementioned people do anything about a malpractice in the Kerala University office or a water scarcity in a college dormitory? What purpose does this futile discourse serve? What does it reap in the long run? A major share of the activism is attributed to the oblivion and fierce propaganda by the big-shots of such political parties.. One cannot simply revolutionize the world by acquiring a handful of jargons from senile handbooks and vitriolic speeches.. By staging protests,blockades and disruptions for a cause whose effects are innocuous to us exposes the sheer intolerance and fanaticism of such ideologies. Revolution begins at home..Rather than resorting to such acts of abomination, kindly ponder on how to set things right in our nation.. contribute to the growth of our nation and help it restore its past glory. Try to excel in what we set forth for instead of succumbing to faux emotions. Pow-vowing on Israel, Cuba, Russia, Italy, Venezuela doesnt serve the purpose. :))
