A couple of months ago, Anne & I went to an estate sale where I picked up two black & white pictures of an old motel. All you could make out from them was the sign in front which read Harrow Court and then Trailer Camp. So, curious as to what I could find out, I hit the internet. What I found a completed auction for an old postcard on Ebay that had an address of 5800 Dalls Pike (Hwy. 80) listed as an address. To make a long story short, I found the old motel on Google Earth on what is now E. Lancaster Blvd. and saw the building was still intact. So, with all the information that I had, Anne & I made a trip to Ft. Worth this afternoon so I could shoot some Then & Now shots of the motel. The best I can tell, the two snapshots I found were from the late thirties or early forties. The linen postcard would have been close to the same era. I tried to locate where the original photographer stood but dont think I was quite on the mark. Anyway, heres the results of my labor. Oh, and the motel has definitely hit hard times as its now some low rent slum apartments. Would like to know what the interest was of this motel to the person whose estate sale we attended. Hmmmmm.....
