A failing silver filling Replaced with a Resin Bonded Ceramic Restoration that is not only bonded to the tooth structure, but has the benefit of titanium pins to help. It is true this tooth may need a full coverage crown someday, but for now the decay has been removed and the patient is very pleased with the intermediate restoration. This gives us an opportunity to evaluate the healing capacity of the tooth and to determine whether or not a root canal is needed before a crown is placed.
