Its a well known saying and a well known fact. So imagine my surprise at having possibly one of the best meals Ive had in a pub. Firstly I should make it clear that I chose The Victoria Inn because it looked so attractive from the outside, maybe it was the flower boxes in the sunlight, who knows. Anyway after taking a seat downstairs, I then moved upstairs after a table became available, just to be a real pain, but the staff were all so friendly about it which was really commendable considering how busy they were. I ordered their homemade burger as did my wife and it was this fabulous meal that truly sets them apart. A huge burger with melted cheese and onions doesnt sound like anything different, but I just cant reccomend this meal enough. Also, apart from me being a pain and asking lots of silly questions about my sons meal, I have to say tbge staff were all brilliant, so helpful and friendly. Go there and try it. I certainly will again.
