A few days ago, I shared two heart-wrenching stories of people we encountered in Sta Cruz Quipayo, Calabanga. Kind-hearted angels contacted us, wanting to help. This morning, my district staff visited both families to bring them the good tidings we received. They fetched Jose Garcia from the Bgy Chapel and brought him to the hospital for medical check up. We lent him a wheelchair from Physicians for Peace while he still cannot move around on his own. He was also given mattress from Uratex and blankets so he will not be too cold on the floor of the room behind the chapel. We also received some cash donations and we intend to use that to rebuild their house so that they can vacate the chapel already. The two sisters who have cerebral palsy were also given mattresses from Uratex. We also used a portion of the money donated to buy them a boxfull of milk for their sustenance. On Sunday, we will be bringing a physical therapist to them so that their mother may be taught basic rehab exercises for the girls. Again, our profound thanks to those who extended help. We will keep you updated of the developments.
