A few weeks before Gabe passed away last year, he had changed the ringtone on his phone to the guitar solo from The Carpenters song Goodbye to love. He had always loved this song and especially that awesome solo. I was curious as to why he had changed his ringtone though, and I asked him. He looked at me with those beautiful green eyes of his, then he walked over to me and held me tight and, in a soft voice he told me...Im saying goodbye to love, baby. We both knew he had a short time left and this was his way of saying goodbye to me, in a gentle way. I was lucky to have been loved by this amazing man and to be able to give him all the love I had.
