A few years ago, I bought a really nice 98 Dodge p/u & it had everything; air, cruise, great stereo/speakers, etc! Nice to drive, quiet, roomy, plenty of power! But it cost to drive it, the insurance was up from my old one, & the 360 eng used gas generously, like 9mpg around town & 16 hwy. When I retired, I did some figuring then adjusting...........I got an old Toyota, & sold that Dodge. The insurance is less than half, mileage is 15 around town, & 21 hwy! Sure its rusty, but it gets me from point A to B just fine. In times of less income, or cut-back, we must adjust, as painful as it may be. But, it brings financial freedom, & less stress by not looking for more money. Proper management is the key. Facing reality is seldom enjoyable, but, sometimes we just have to bite the bullet as they say.
