A late night rescue! Tonight we received a call about a baby Bald Eagle who had been down on the ground for quite some time, days and days in fact. Thankfully, we were able to get to him right away. This little male needed some fluids, and food immediately, especially after this heat today. He was quite dehydrated and hungry. He is still to young to fly, so he will be introduced to his new family shortly after some good R&R in our intensive care unit. Here is a sneak peak at a late night snack at O.W.L!
