A lesson in Humility I’d like to share my experience with a popular American Author. This book was touted as the top 10 best reads for 2014. It is indeed a great piece of fiction, and one that kept me absorbed like none have, for a long time. However, I found a factual error on an historical event and thought it worth highlighting to the publisher. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a response within 24 hours directly from the Author, acknowledge the error. He stated that this was noted, and he was deeply embarrassed by the faux pas. He went on to state that changes have been made on print publications and will ensure that the e-versions too would be updated. This author who holds a celebrity status, taught me a lesson on 2 on humility. He could have trashed my view stating it is fiction and creative liberties are the order. I have now become a bigger fan and hold him now in high regard.
