A little over a year ago I had the honor of seeing an exhibit at DuSable Museum of African American History in Chicago that showcased the incredible legacy of the power couple, Geoffery Holder & Carmen de Lavallade. As artists they broke boundaries and together they showcased a love that weathered many storms, many successes and failures, and that fostered beautiful pieces of art. Im sorry to hear of Geofferys passing but honored that in ways I didnt even know, I got to experience his legacy. From his choreography, The Wiz and his film and commercial work, he has always been a dynamic figure in the arts. Your light still shines Geoffery. Your light will continue to shine. deadline/2014/10/geoffrey-holder-dead-at-84-was-the-un-cola-man-and-directed-the-wiz-846648/
