A lot of people criticize the Titans for taking Taylor Lewan instead of Johnny Manziel, or a defensive back, etc. in the 1st round of Mays draft... I just want to take a moment to say why I think it was a BRILLIANT move. Ill start with the least important reasons, and make my way to the most important. First, he was the best player on the board. If it wasnt for his off-field issues, he was a top 5 pick, and arguably the best tackle in the draft. Second, Michael Roos is 32 and probably done with the Titans after this season. Also, Michael Oher is no one special, and very overrated. Third, he fits Wisenhunts offense perfectly. Hes got a nasty streak and can dominate defensive lineman. He will be a big contributor to the success of the Titans rush offense. Fourth, and MOST IMPORTANT: The Titans will be facing Jadaveon Clowney and JJ Watt two times a season, every season, for the next 10 years or so. Lewan proved he can hang with Clowney when they played against one another in the Bowl game 2 seasons ago. Taking Lewan counters the Clowney pick by Houston. With Andy Levitre and Chance Warmack to hold down the middle, the Titans have a strong foundation to build on, and have the inside track to being able to contain Houstons dominant defensive line. #1yardshort
