A lot of us know that Benjamin Franklin said, “Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.” Does job security fit the bill? We all want that, but in this day and age are we sacrificing the freedom to be something else, do something else, because were fixated on job security? It looks very much like Im about to find out, and some of you already know -- John E. Williams, Kelly Koenig, Roger Selvage... I keep keeping myself in a box of fear, and blind desire; I want job security, Im as fed up as most people with not having it, and the idea of leap and the net will appear makes me scared, angry and sad. It would be good if I could learn to see opportunity to do something completely different, instead of some imaginary expectation of how things should be... thatll get you every time... I can see that I have to be forced outside the box or I just wont go.
