A message from our president: Hi Everyone, We are still looking for someone to fill the position of Secretary. We are supposed to vote and swear in the officers at the September 21st meeting, and it would be best to swear in everyone at once. Please consider volunteering to fill this vacancy. We really need to have a full board to conduct business. We are supposed to have a quorum (at least 22) to be able to vote for our officers. We are buying a lovely sheet cake to celebrate the installation. Please come to vote and help us celebrate the new chapter year. We are still missing a banner that Peg Hopper dropped off at our May meeting. If anyone took it home with them for an event, please let us know that you have it. It has holes along the top to hang it up as opposed to our other banners that have a pole slide through the top. Our fiscal year runs from September 1 until August 31st. That means that everyone needs to pay their dues for the following year. It is still only $20. and this will probably be the last year for that rate. The national chapter has proposed a raise of $5. for next year. Please pay as soon as possible so we can get everyone registered. We hope to see people at the 9/7 boat cruise , the 9/11 walk, the 9/19-9/20 Spirit of America event, and the 9/27 Gold Star Mothers luncheon.
