A note from the Center Grove Trojan Band Boosters: Welcome to the 2014 Marching Band Season! I would like to welcome each of you to the kickoff of our new Marching Band season, particularly the families of our incoming Freshmen and new marchers. This is going to be a very exciting and full year for our band program with some great opportunities for our kids, including the honor of performing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 27. I want to extend this invitation for you to attend the upcoming Marching Band Parent Kickoff and Orientation meeting to be held on Tuesday, May 13 in the Center Grove High School Auditorium. Doors will open at 6:30 pm so please arrive early to sign in and pick up important information. The formal program will begin at 7:00 pm. This is a very important meeting for all new and veteran parents to attend. Come learn about several key topics, including band logistics, important dates, events, performance schedule, fees, fundraising, opportunities for you to get involved, how you could win a new car, and of course the Macy’s Parade. Mr. Schuessler will also share with us the theme and design for this year’s show. Finally, we will have some valuable giveaways (must be present to win) and maybe a surprise or two.
