A parent asks our group: HELP Im about to loose my mind! I got my son a little over a year ago! When I got him he would screen 18-20 hours a day NO JOKE! Was only bottle feed He was barely walking because he was falling more then walking! He had no clue what human contact was and would go stiff at the slightest touch. My husband worked with him non-stop Fast forward to today a 14 months later to the day! He is a happy 3yo that loves life If you saw him you would think he is a normal typical 3yo boy that loves trains cars balls and getting dirty! He does have old behaviors appear if he misses sleep he still requires 12-15 hours a day of sleep. Or if people he doesnt know try to talk to him. He still has services for his speech because its the speech of an 18 month old not a 3yo. Because he is 3 I no longer get services in my home he goes on a bus to preschool then gets brought home. He seems to love going and love coming home. The problem I am having is his meltdowns are back they go anywhere from 5m to an hour several times a day. I dont know what to do. I have talked to the school and they said somethings that Im not sure of. They said he is not having any problems he talks a mile a minute he never argues and is very easy go with the flow! At home he is this way yes BUT I know that when he is tired he is a argumentative child that will refuse to do anything! He also has meltdowns when he is tired. He has preschool from 12-3 his nap time. Then this weekend My husband and I where talking during a meltdown. My husband mentioned preschool well that sent my son over the edge and started screaming no preschool no preschool no no no no preschool for about 15 minutes. I just dont know what to do. help please
