A parent asks our group: My sons pediatrician has referred us to a developmental pediatrician and an occupational therapist for possible SPD. Our appointment with the developmental pediatrician is in August, but I am having trouble getting an appointment with an OT. The first put us on a waiting list, so I called our pediatrician and got a referral to another one. We are on a waiting list there as well. Should I keep looking for another OT? Or just wait for one of these places to call me?Also, the only SIPT certified OT in my area is at the second OT place we are on the waiting list for, and I was wondering if you all think that is important for an OT to have.
