A scandal that Scotlands drive towards sustainable renewables is hampered by the short term limitations of the market. Capitalism cannot answer climate change. We need a state owned energy generation company, a state owned grid and a state owned energy supply company so that long term strategic development and implementation of renewable energy projects can take place on the basis of long term investment, strategic planning and economies of scale.
