A short review of modern blues lesson package by Seth Rosenbloom The package consists of 15 tasty blues licks in separate easy to find videos, rather than a large difficult to find your place video file. The licks are played once at full speed and once slow for easy picking up the licks. The theories behind licks Seth is playing are explained in the text for each lick. Also there are tips on ways to play, change of get the most from the concepts shown, as well as easy to follow tablature. The licks are very much intermediate level and kind of reminiscent of Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson and other modern blues players of this calibre. There are many techniques employed like odd note grouping, hybrid picking ,sequencing , bends, slides interval jumps and vibrato to give these great licks character and feel which Seth is very much known for . There are no shredding or rapid fire blistering rock licks in this package so if that’s what your after then you may want to look elsewhere, there are however very nice inflections with deliberate note choices, tone full execution and very useable real world modern blues guitar licks. For the very reasonable price of $17 I would recommend this lesson package all day.
